Since we’ve integrated eCC with BigCommerce in June 2011, we’ve gotten great feedback from BigCommerce retailers looking for a seamless way to synchronize their online orders, customers and inventory with QuickBooks.
eCC connects with BigCommerce via the BigCommerce API, which enables eCC to access store data in XML or JSON format. With the previous BigCommerce API, eCC could only perform a one-way sync from the BigCommerce store to QuickBooks. Online retailers could download their orders from their BigCommerce store to eCC to automatically process shipping and post orders to QuickBooks to create sales receipts, invoices or sales orders, but they would then have to manually change the status of the order in their BigCommerce store. In spite of this manual step, online retailers were happy to see that eCC provides QuickBooks integration for BigCommerce. eCC offers more integration options, enabling our customers to manage their online business more efficiently: control how transactions are recorded in QuickBooks, create purchase orders, maps customers and products between systems, choose payment methods, and integration with your choice of shipping processors.
The recent release of BigCommerce RESTful API offers 2-way integration between eCC and BigCommerce. The RESTful API allows eCC to retrieve and modify important store data, like orders, products, categories, shipment, etc. eCC can now push data to the BigCommerce store and automatically update the order status, post tracking number, map items, and sync inventory and pricing with QuickBooks.
Here are some key eCC features for BigCommerce with the BigCommerce RESTful API:
- Automatically pull orders by order status from your BigCommerce store to eCC
- Manage order processing, cancellations and order history
- Generate shipping labels in bulk via Endicia Dazzle, FedEx, UPS, Stamps.com or USPS
- Print customized packing slips
- Map products between your BigCommerce store and QuickBooks
- Transfer product details from QuickBooks to create new items in BigCommerce, or vice versa
- Sync inventory and pricing between BigCommerce and QuickBooks
- Manage multiple online channels with one eCC application
- Enable multiple users to access eCC
- Comprehensive configuration wizard that walks you through the eCC setup to integrate your BigCommerce store with QuickBooks and shipping processors
