Vista/Windows 7 Installation Guide
Follow these three steps to install and run eCC on Window Vista/7
Enable User Account Control (UAC)
- Open up Control Panel, and type "UAC" into the search box. You'll see a link for "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off"

- On the next screen you should check the box for "Use User Account Control (UAC)", and then click on the OK button.

- You'll need to reboot your computer before the changes take effect.
eCC Installation
- Start eCC installation by clicking the "Install eCCv2.x.msi."

- Click Next.
- eCC Installer will display "C:\eCC\" in Installation Folder dialogue.
Note: Due to some security restrictions in Vista/7, all users don't have read/write permission in Program Files so do not install eCC in any other folder.
- Now launch eCC.

- Make sure QuickBooks is Open but the Company file is closed
- When you use eCC very first time it will ask you to create a new store profile.

- Browse for the QuickBooks company file.

- After selecting the file in eCC, switch to QuickBooks and Open the company file.

- Now switch back to eCC and click the Test QuickBooks connection, you will see following screen in QuickBooks

- Select the 4th radio button and check the "Allow this application to access...." box.
- Hit Continue and you're done.
Both QuickBooks and eCC should be run with standard user permissions (NOT elevated to run as administrator).
