Happy Giving Tuesday! To celebrate, today we’re so happy to announce a 50% discount to Webgility and Webgility subscriptions for all new nonprofit customers. Started in 2012 by New York City’s famed 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, Giving Tuesday shines a light on nonprofit needs both locally and globally. And since its inception, Giving Tuesday has made a huge difference for nonprofits. In fact, last year 17.8 percent of giving happened in December.
Studies show that people who give both offline and online are more likely to continue giving than those who donate exclusively either online or offline. Furthermore, nonprofits retain approximately 58% of first-time donors who give or buy from nonprofits both online and offline, and only 29 percent of offline-only donors. It’s no surprise, small nonprofits continue to see the largest increase in online giving and buying, according to industry studies done by M+R Research and Blackbaud.
