I’m pleased to announce that e-commerce industry expert Steven Power has officially joined the Webgility team as Executive Advisor. Steve brings with him more than 18 years of senior executive experience, which includes our shared passion for making it easier for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to realize and exceed their sales goals amid the complex, competitive landscape of the e-commerce world. As you many know, Steve put that passion to work as President and Chief Revenue Officer of BigCommerce, where he was part of the team which transformed the e-commerce platform from a start-up to a fast-growing e-commerce leader which serves over 95,000 merchants in 150 countries generating $4B in GMV.
Steve says his passion for helping e-commerce businesses comes from being an Aussie who likes to help the “new guy” and for this reason he deeply identifies with the goals of Webgility. As he said himself: “I like to work with SMBs because they operate relatively quickly and effectively. They don’t form big, complex bureaucratic committees and have difficult, long-winded processes. SMBs tend to keep it real and get it done. I really like that sense of being able to come up with an idea, articulate a dream, and make it happen.
