What’s in a name? Everything.

What’s in a name? Everything.Six weeks ago, we relaunched eCC Desktop and eCC Cloud as Webgility. Since then, we’ve fielded all manner of questions from current and future customers, the most common of which has been, “Why would you change and rename such a great product?” For us, the answer is simple. Much like the e-commerce industry itself, Webgility and its products have evolved exponentially in a very short period of time. Simply put, the term “e-commerce connector (aka eCC)” had become insufficient for expressing everything that our software does for multi-channel enterprise companies.

Webgility was founded in 2007 with the simple idea of making it easy for online sellers to “connect” their orders with QuickBooks. And now as the leading multi-channel solutions company, our product features not only connect but also unify your e-commerce operations, so online enterprises can have better perspective, make smarter decisions, and run their business from a single software. That means no more skipping back and forth between multiple applications to run your business. That means you can easily add and remove sales channels to your business model without disrupting your workflows and inventory. That means you can get back to doing what inspires you most.

For many of our customers, that inspiration could be spending more time with the family, getting back to hand-making products in the studio, exploring new channels, increasing marketing efforts, or retiring 10 years earlier than expected. No matter your goals, rest assured we’re making a unified effort to get you there.
